ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday sought comments from respondents in a case seeking cancellation of bail of Therapy Works' employees in the Noor Mukadam murder case. The court also sought the case record from additional district and sessions court.

Justice Aamer Farooq of IHC heard the case filed by Shaukat Mukadam, the father of the victim. Petitioner's lawyer Barrister Qasim Nawaz Abbasi said the accused had hidden facts from the lower court. He maintained that the plaintiff had also named Therapy Works' Chief Executive Officer Dr Tahir Zahoor Ahmed and other employees as coaccused in his supplementary statement.

A court had already dismissed the bail of Zahir Jaffar's parents, he said, adding that the above decision was announced by another court. After listening to arguments, the court sought comments from the respondent along with the case record and adjourned the hearing of the case.

Meanwhile, a district and sessions court extended the judicial remand of Usman Mirza and seven other accused till September 10 in a case related to the sexual assault of a couple at a guest house in Sector E-11.
