RAWALPINDI:

The police have arrested a man who had killed his 25-year-old wife with his family four months ago in Hazara Colony.

The husband, Adil Khan, killed his wife, Nazma, mother of two, after plotting the murder with his family members and then filed a case against his younger brother so that he can forgive him later.

The victim’s father lodged another complaint with Ratta Amral police after which the vicious role of the husband in the entire criminal act was unveiled. The police officials said that the suspect cunningly registered a case against his younger brother to dodge his slain wife’s parents.

After Nazma's killing, the suspect had lodged a complaint with the police that his wife had been killed by his brother, Rashid Khan, as she refused to give him Rs30,000. The police booked the nominated suspect. However, when the victim’s body reached her parents’ house, they found while giving the body a bath that their daughter was assaulted and killed using a sharp tool.

After this, the victim’s father lodged another complaint and accused the in-laws of his deceased daughter. He said Nazma's in-laws used to assault her often and that the relations between the husband and wife were not good.

The police said they nominated Nazma’s in-laws in the case after receiving a complaint from the father. Following this development, Adil Khan went into hiding and has now been arrested after four months.
