Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Tuesday announced the release of Rs6 billion under the Drawback of Local Taxes and Levies (DLTL) scheme. “This includes Rs5.6 billion for the textile sector and Rs400 million for the non-textile sector,” the adviser said on his official Twitter account. “I hope this will contribute to improving the liquidity of our exporters and enable them to enhance Pakistan’s exports.” He recalled his visit to the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) on Friday, where he held a positive interactive session with the members. The adviser termed the GCCI a very progressive chamber having diversified product range and substantial exports. He said that Gujranwala had the potential to become a major engineering hub of Pakistan and play a prominent role in economic development.
