Sindh government has initiated many projects to decongest traffic in Karachi to provide relief to the people, said Special Assistant to CM (SACM) on Board of Investment and Private Public Partnership Projects (PPPP) Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar on Monday.
Presiding over a meeting of the officers of Public Private Partnership Projects at Finance Department, Qamar observed that easy flow of traffic will reduce wastage of fuel, time and improve efficiency of the businesses in the economic hub of the country.
Finance Department Director General Khalid Mehmood Shaikh, Director Finance Yasir Mumtaz Khokhar and other officers also attended the meeting. Khokhar told the meeting that presently work was under progress on the Malir Expressway Project at the cost of Rs27.5 billion and M9-N5 Link Road Project at the cost of Rs6.5 billion.
He said that under Urban Road Initiatives, three very important projects such as remodeling of ICI Bridge, Korangi Link Road Project and Mauripur Expressway are under way at the cost of Rs30 billion.
