A New Zealand national was chased and caught by traffic wardens on Gulberg’s Main Boulevard on Sunday after he fled from the scene having hit a motorcycle, injuring the rider.

The man identified as Paul Collins was later handed over to Ghalib Market police. SHO Asif said Collins was an employee at PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s poultry farm.

He said the motorcyclist, Rashid Ahmed, 19, a Makkah Colony resident, was taken to Services Hospital where he was under treatment for a fracture in his right leg.

Collins told the police that he was crossing the Zafar Ali Road intersection on a green signal when the motorcycle appeared suddenly and crashed into his car.
