Dangerous driving: Five dead, several injured in accidents

30 injured taken to Services Hospital, 55 to Mayo Hospital.

LAHORE: Five people died and more than 80 were injured in various road accidents on Sunday. Several one-wheelers were arrested by the traffic police in several areas.

Police said that an unidentified man, around 25 years old, died while one-wheeling in Dharampura. Yasir, 18, Ishfaq, 20, died in an accident near Kalma Chowk. Elsewhere, a 50-year-old woman died in Mayo Hospital after being hit by a speeding car near Pir Makki shrine. Another 80-year-old woman died in a hospital after being hit by a car near Shalimar Hospital.

Edhi officials said that Amjad, 20, and Qaiser, 21, residents of Rana Town, were injured near Shahdara Mor and taken to Mayo Hospital, where they were reported to be in critical condition. Muhammad Amir, 20, was hit by a car in Naseerabad while one-wheeling. He is in critical condition in General Hospital.

At least 30 people were brought to Services Hospital and 55 to Mayo Hospital after they were injured in various one-wheeling accidents.

Rescue 1122 responded to 93 motorbike accidents and 138 critically injured people by taking them to the hospitals.

I Dont Know what are they Thinking when They are Doing That Stuff and Really, This Time of 14th Of Aug, 2011 it All Happen as the GOVT Said and That is A Good Change!
