LAHORE:

Police have decided to expand the scope of investigations into the murder of provincial minister Asad Khokhar’s brother Mubashir Khokhar during a marriage ceremony.

Police have decided to include the jail inmates of the prime suspect Nazim in investigations. The suspect had spent at least eight years in jail.

Police sought records of the inmates who remained in close contact or cell of the suspect. They were also looking into the people who had been meeting with the suspect after his release.

Efforts are being made to look more closely into the motive behind this high profile murder as the police do not believe much in the story as narrated by the prime suspect.
