Valuables worth over Rs7m stolen in capital

Thieves and muggers had a field day on Sunday in Islamabad as citizens were deprived of cash and valuables worth over Rs7 million.

The citizens of Islamabad were also deprived of a car and a motorcycle in different areas. Three armed suspects snatched a cellphone and Rs55,000 from Tariq in the jurisdiction of Aabpara Police Station.

Sherdil’s vehicle was theft in the limits of Ramna Police Station while Talat’s motorbike was stolen in the jurisdiction of Shalimar Police Station.

Unidentified thieves made away with gold and jewellery worth Rs300,000 from the house of Jehangir in the limits of Lohi Bher Police Station.

Thieves did away with jewellery and cash worth Rs1.9 million from Waqar’s house in the precincts of Golra Police Station. Similarly, Hasnain lodged a complaint with the Shalimar police that unidentified burglars theft jewellery worth Rs4 million from his house.

Unidentified thieves made away with Rs600,000 from the vehicle of Jamshed in the jurisdiction of the I-9 Police Station.

Unidentified robbers snatched Rs20,000 at gunpoint from a youngster in the limits of Kohsar Police Station while a woman was also deprived of her mobile while she was walking in F-9 Park.

The police have registered cases, however, no arrests or recoveries could be made till the filing of this report.
