Shaniera Akram calls out Minal, Ahsan for reckless driving

She took to Instagram to urge the couple to take road safety more seriously

Minal Khan and her fiancé Ahsan Mohsin Ikram recently took to the road for a monsoon drive but Shaniera Akram is not taking their lack of road safety measures lightly. In a video posted to Instagram by the actor, Minal can be seen sitting in the passenger seat of a car, singing and enjoying the rain with no seatbelt in sight, while Mohsin is driving while recording on his phone.

The wife of the former ace cricketer Wasim Akram took to her Instagram stories to call the couple out for their reckless behaviour. Shaniera wrote, “Come on guys, you’re famous and have millions of followers! Is it too hard to be a little more responsible? Put your seatbelt on and eyes on the road!”

She added further, “I’m sorry to say but that song won’t be as cute if she’s singing it in the hospital.” Shaniera is known not to shy away from activism on her social media and has been vocal about many social issues on the internet in the past. She also previously raised her voice against the practice of garbage/sewage dumping at Karachi's beach.

The activist/philanthropist took to Twitter to share a disheartening image of the Clifton coastline strewn with rubbish. "I’m sick of this. We clean the beach, again and again, only to have the city’s garbage dumped in our sea and sewerage lines, which eventually washes up on our shore," she lamented.
