Covid-19 claims four more lives in Punjab

292 fresh infections were reported across the province during the past 24 hours.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed four more lives in Punjab while 292 fresh infections were reported across the province during the past 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Sunday, the death toll in the province had reached 10,819 while the total number of virus cases exceeded 348,080.

Reportedly, the total recoveries from Covid-19 were 328,767 in the province.

As per the data provided by the P&SHD, currently 8,499 Covid-19 patients were under treatment in different hospitals across Punjab while 213 patients had recovered during the same period.

The total number of coronavirus tests conducted in Punjab was 5.82 million after the provincial health department conducted 17,062 more tests for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours.

The provincial health department had appealed to the people to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.

The people should wash their hands with soap several times in a day to protect themselves from Covid-19. Contact 1033 immediately on symptoms of coronavirus.
