One man was killed and two injured in armed clashes between the Edik and Bora Khel tribes in North Waziristan District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) over a long dispute on Thursday.

“One man identified as Musa has been killed while two were injured including Maulana Asamudin,” claimed police, adding that both the sides were fully armed and they were using long range machine guns in the clashes.

“Soon after the start of clashes both sides established check posts in their respective areas and started checking of all passersby looking for their opponents,” said a local residents, adding that this had caused widespread panic among the locals.

“Around 20 people have been killed in this land dispute in the recent past and from time to time bloody clashes also take place,” claimed the official.
