A district court on Wednesday confirmed the pre-arrest bails of three men who had allegedly threatened a seminary student who had lodged an FIR accusing a cleric, Azizur Rehman, of sexually assaulting him.
An additional district and sessions judge confirmed the bails of Mufti Aziz's sons Wasiur Rehman and Hafeezur Rehman along with their accomplice Abdullah.
Another suspect had withdrawn his application for pre-arrest bail, claiming that he had no connection with the case.

A video showing the suspect sexually abusing the student had surfaced on the social media, after which police registered a case on his complaint.
As they were remanded in judicial custody, the three sons filed applications for bail in the district court, while the main suspect has not yet sought a bail.
Police officials had earlier claimed that the suspect had confessed to having molested the complainant after luring him through a promise of passing him in exams. He had allegedly added that once the video went viral, his sons had attempted to threaten the complainant to remain silent.
