In this fast-paced era of technology and social media, celebrities seem to be the easiest targets of keyboard warriors. From slut-shaming to name-calling, time and again many artists have pointed out how they have been trolled and bullied online. Let it be Hania Aamir-Asim Azhar's viral spat or Alizeh Shah's tank top, they have been criticised relentlessly.

In a recent incident, Pakistani starlet Maiyum Nafees shared her ordeal of a man sending her indecent messages on Instagram. In the said message, the man offers an amount 'for few hours with his friend.' Livid - and rightfully so - the Ishq Jalebi star took to the social media and called out the troll.

"The point of putting this up is because I truly want to put a stop to this," Mariyam shared. adding, "I don’t know who’s responsible for these morons to think this way and who’s entertaining them but no! Absolutely not! I and my esteemed co-actresses respectfully work for twelve hours (sometimes more) every day and we refuse to tolerate this mentality."

She went on to add, "We come from educated backgrounds to make a name for ourselves, nobody and I mean not a single person is allowed to disrespect us. Actresses are not prostitutes!"

Earlier, popular host Anoushey Ashraf took to Instagram and shared an incident (that she adds happens far too often) where a user harassed her online by sending her indecent messages. The renowned artist took to the social media app and posted the indecent message alongside the user's profile, naming and shaming him.

Anoushey then shared a couple of messages she had received in her direct messages, where several women are lending support and revealed their own experiences of being harassed online.

Yes right. There is a clear distinction between prostitution and doing it on will. When done for some favor it no longer remains prostitution.
