The cabinet's Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) is likely to approve a total of 500,000 metric tonnes of wheat for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a technical supplementary grant for wheat to Gilgit-Baltistan at subsidised rates in its next meeting.
The ECC meeting will be held tomorrow (Thursday) under Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin. The meeting will consider a 13-point agenda which includes issuing several grants.
According to a copy of the agenda available to the Express Tribune, the ECC meeting will review the 13-point agenda, including providing 500,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting is also expected to approve Policy 2021 for NGOs and NPOs receiving foreign aid and funds.
The 13-point agenda will also review the summary of operational losses on delivery of petrol through a gas pipeline.
The documents show that the ECC meeting is likely to approve a technical supplementary grant of over Rs1.28 billion for the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).
The meeting is likely to approve several grants, including a technical supplementary grant to the Ministry of Industry and Production and a technical supplementary grant that will be paid to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines.
According to the agenda, the meeting will grant a technical supplementary of Rs274.1 million to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
A grant of over Rs56.3 million will also be approved for Gwadar Port Authority Gwadar, Pakistan Marine Academy, Korangi Fisheries Harbor Authority and DG Port.
