SMEDA programme to promote e-commerce

Skills development programs to fill the gap of shortage of trained force will also be launched

LAHORE:

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) has launched a sustainable programme for enhancing access of SMEs to world markets through e-commerce platforms.

SMEDA CEO Hashim Raza said, "We are going to take all leading organisations of e-commerce into loop to enable SMEs of Pakistan for availing the highest benefits out of the government of Pakistan's official arrangement with e-commerce platforms.”

The first memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards this programme was signed recently at Karachi with the renowned e-commerce company ‘Extreme Commerce’, which is the country's first EdTech startup with a sole focus on skills development and capacity building within the e-commerce and digital arena.

Similarly, skills development programs to fill the gap of shortage of trained force would also be launched.
