At least four members of a family including a woman and her three sons passed away in a road accident that occurred on Ferozepur Road on the outskirts of Lahore.
Police said Ramzan, a resident of Mohalla Sharif Park in Kahna, was on his way along with his family on a motorcycle when a rashly driven passenger bus hit them near Bank Stop Kamahan on Ferozepur Road.
As a consequence, all the victims fell down out of which Ramzan’s wife and three sons were crushed under the tyres of the passenger bus. A number of people gathered at the scene to help and called Rescue 1122 and police on the spot.
Rescuers took the four crushed family members immediately to the hospital where they were pronounced ‘brought dead’.
Fortunately, Ramzan and his daughter survived the deadly accident despite receiving injuries. The deceased have been identified as Saba and her children Ayan, Ahmad and Almas. Their dead bodies have been shifted to the morgue after the hospital staff conducted an autopsy on them following the request of the law enforcement agency.
Police said the bus driver involved in the deadly crash managed to run away from the crime scene before the cops arrived.
The cops collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eye-witnesses.
