K-P transporters threaten strike

FPCCI Coordinator Sartaj Ahmed Khan assured the transporters that the federation would highlight all issues

Transporters of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have threatened to stage a strike if their demands and issues were not resolved. In a meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Peshawar, officials of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Goods Transport Federation said that they would park their vehicles in front of the motorway toll plaza and block the road for all types of traffic. Speaking on the occasion, FPCCI Coordinator Sartaj Ahmed Khan assured the transporters that the federation would highlight all issues with the provincial transport minister, Customs officials, motorway authorities and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister. He requested the transporters to postpone their strike call till September 15.
