Actor and supermodel Jiah Ali married her long-time friend Imran Idrees in an intimate ceremony at Lahore’s Badhshahi mosque recently, reported Express PK. The event was attended by close friends and family only. Her now-husband is a cricket coach and businessman by profession. Idrees is also a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).
Idrees has coached Hong Kong’s cricket team and has helped PTI find footing in the Aisa-Pacific region. Speaking about her wedding, Ali revealed that she is incredibly happy and that she has found a great life partner. She shared that she plans on throwing a party for extended friends and family as a celebration of her marriage to Idrees soon.
While Ali started off her career as a model and went on to gain significant success in the modelling field, she is also known for her acting. She gained widespread recognition for her role in Syed Noor’s 1997 flick Deewane Tere Pyaar Ke, starring alongside actor Moammar Rana. Ali has acted in various television dramas as well, including Kaaghaz Kay Phool and Manzilain.
Previously, speaking about her work to the publication, Ali said she believed that the local entertainment industry needs to provide more opportunities to young artists in order to tap into international markets.
The yesteryear's diva revealed that youngsters should be given more chances to work with senior actors so that they can be well-groomed. "In Bollywood and Hollywood, senior stars have special roles written for them and are respected a lot. But in Pakistan, they are often neglected which is not a good practice," Ali had stated
