Many of us start Ramazan with the intention to lose weight or at least to eat healthy, but to our dismay it is merely impossible to stop ourselves from indulging in all the delicious iftaar food. However, it’s never too late to start over or to make an effort to achieve your goals. Hence, after enjoying the delicious food over Eid it is time for you to collect yourself and organise yourself in a way that you achieve your ultimate weight goal or a body cleanse. Here are a few ways in which you can do so. Whatever you do make sure you do what makes you happy, because at the end of the day that’s all that matters.
Detox drinks!
One of the best ways to give yourself a body cleanse is to detoxify! This can be done through consumption of detox drinks. This will not only give you a healthy cleanse but it will also improve your skin. There are a number of ingredients which work great for a detox, including the likes of celery, spinach and apples. You can also try the combination of orange, carrot and ginger which is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C. And if you’re feeling lazy just dice a cucumber or lemon and add it to your water bottle and it will do the job.
Exercise!
No matter what anyone tells you, always remember that exercising is one of the most important things to have a healthy body and mind. Sometimes you can try everything and you won’t see or feel the difference until you exercise. Try to find time for a good workout atleast four to five times a week. This can range from brisk walking, going to the gym, swimming, cycling and anything that gets you moving. This will also help to burn off the extra accumulated fat in your body.
Sleep on time
It’s a given that our routines tend to change in the month of Ramazan. With Ramazan over for another year, it’s time to change our sleeping patterns and get the rest we need. Sleeping late has a number of harmful effects on our body, some of which include hair fall, migraines, dark circles, eye sight issues and more. In order to achieve a good body cleanse one must sleep on time and sleep for at least 8-10 hours. This will automatically fix half of your problems and you will feel more energetic throughout the day.
Reduce sugar intake and processed foods
Having a diet which is full of sugar and processed food is not good for one’s health as it is considered unhealthy for the body. This can cause obesity, heart problems, cancer and diabetes amongst other illnesses. Try to replace junk food with healthy food like fruits, non-greasy food and vegetables. Try to prep your meals yourself and have a balanced diet which includes all the important nutrients for your body.
Take supplements
Sometimes we don’t realise that the food we eat might not be providing us with sufficient nutrients so it becomes important to take supplements. Some important supplements which are good for your body are fish oil tablets, Biotin, Zinc, Iron, Vitamin D and Vitamin C. These are good for one’s health as well as hair and skin. Hence no matter how healthy your diet is some supplements are essential for one’s body. However, get yourself tested before you take any supplement as the excess of anything can be bad for your health.
