Police urge people to stay at home

The CCPO monitored the implementation of lockdown regarding SOPs and distributed masks among citizens

Lahore Police on Wednesday carried out the 18th flag march in different areas of the city to monitor law and order situation as well as the implementation of coronavirus SOPs during the lockdown.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar along with Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Usman led the flag march. DIG Operations Sajid Kiani, Lahore CTO Syed Hammad Abid and other senior police officers also participated in the flag march.

Contingents of Pakistan Army and Rangers as well as teams of different operational units of Lahore Police including Dolphin Squad, Elite Force, traffic police and Police Response Unit were part of the flag march.

The flag march started from Town Hall and passed through different roads and markets including Mall Road, Upper Mall Canal Bridge, Zafar Ali Road, LDA Complex, Abdul Sattar Edhi Chowk, Qalazbash Chowk, Thokar Niaz Baig and other areas of the city.

The CCPO monitored the implementation of lockdown regarding SOPs and distributed masks among citizens.

He said, “There is a complete lockdown in the city from May 8 till May 16.”

However, the shops with exemption were allowed to continue their business following strict SOPs.

He added, “Lahore Police is all set to protect life and property to the citizens on the eve of Eidul Fitr.
