50 businesses sealed over SOPs violation

The district administration launched a massive crackdown against violators of coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sealed 50 business centres during last 24 hours.

Two persons were apprehended and cases lodged against two others over violations. Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Kahawaja Umair sealed 21 shops at Cantt, Gulshan Market and Hussain Agahi. AC Sadar Adnan Badar sealed restaurants and AC Shujabad Muhammad Zubair sealed eight shops.

Secretary Regional Transport Authority Rana Mohsin impounded 13 buses and imposed Rs52,000 worth of fine on transport owners. He also imposed Rs100,000 worth of fine on shopkeepers who opened shops at Sehri time.
