Taking to Twitter, actor Imran Ashraf, who's usually more active on Instagram than the micro-blogging site, has shared a video to ward off imposters.

Seeing how badly celebrity images can be jeapordized when their original accounts aren't verified, Imran, in his video, highlighted which Twitter handle really belongs to him.

"Hello, I'm hoping you all are doing well. This video has a special purpose," started the actor in Urdu. "A lot of people have been doubtful about whether the Twitter handle @IamImranAshraf is my official handle or not," he continued. "So I just want to let you all know that this is my original account, you will find me here only. Yeh men he hun, or meray sath bhi men hun," conlcuded the Raqs-e-Bismil star.

Prior to this, Imran had retweeted a user's thread on the same, thanking him for clearing out the misunderstanding between his original and fake accounts. "Thank you bhai," he wrote.

The tweet read, "Dear @TwitterSafety, this is why we need to have @verified accounts. @IamImranAshraf, verify this, [he] is a leading actor in Pakistan’s drama industry and SMTs of political parties exploit his fame to grab on followers. Like this @lamlmranAshraf account. #VerifyMyAccount too."

The user had shared an imposter's duplicate Twitter account to bring the matter to the actor's knowledge.

Nevertheless, here's hoping this video helps and Imran's account gets verified soon so his followers are not misled.
