Manawan: Retired inspector survives grenade attack

A retired police inspector’s house was attacked with guns and a grenade in Manawan police jurisdiction on Thursday, but no one was hurt.

Malik Muzaffar, a former inspector, told the police that a motorbike stopped at his house at Sootar Mill Main Road shortly after Sehar and he heard shots fired in the air. He said that they also threw a hand grenade at the house, shattering the windows in the building and his car. Two more grenades had also been thrown at the house but did not explode. FIR had been registered against five named and one unidentified persons.
