SHANGLA:

Heavy down pour continued for the third consecutive day in Shangla district as the surrounding hills received snow fall on Saturday.

The torrential rains caused land sliding on link roads as well as main roads disrupting the flow of traffic for hours and causing inconvenience for the general public.

Locals blamed that the administration was unable to keep the roads open by removing the stones and debris from the roads. The element of chill increased in the air with the rains and snow fall. Locals blamed that the heavy rainfall caused widespread damage to the fruit plants that were laden with fruits. There is a medium flood in the nullahs and ravines.

On the other hand Met Office has predicted more rains in the coming day which will further increase the element of cold in the weather in the hill stations.
