Nine cases have been registered, 73 people arrested

KURIANWALA:

At least 800 people on charges of blocking road and putting up resistance in official work at various places in Khurrianwala. Nine cases have been registered and 73 people have been arrested.

Police said 60 people including Zameer, Shahid, Rizwan, Usman, Siddique, Babar Latif, Asad, Noman, Azmat, Hamid Raza and others, who blocked the road in Jamia Masjid Chowk area of Civil Line and protested.

As many as 50 unidentified persons committed vandalism Mandir Gali, area of Rail Bazaar while 150 including Amjad Ali, Tariq Mahmood, Nadeem, Umar, Asif, Umair, Shafiq, Kashif Manj, Ali Raza, Ashfaq, Ishtiaq and others at Bhatta Stop Millat Town. Naveed and others on Sargodha Road.

Forty people including Naeem, Afzal, Abbas, Azam, Haider Ali, Junaid Naeem, Wasim, Qaiser, Adnan and others blocked Samundari Road.

Police stations of respective areas registered nine separate cases against 800 people.
