Nearly 400 Covid cases recorded in Sindh

Province sees one fatality, 154 recoveries

Another coronavirus-related fatality was recorded in Sindh on Sunday, when nearly 400 fresh infections were reported.

According to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, 376 persons were diagnosed when 9,404 samples were tested for the contagion. Sindh's coronavirus case count and pandemic death toll rose to 269,125 and 4,530, respectively, said Shah.

Sharing further details, the CM said that 257,804 persons in the province have thus far recovered from the infection, including 154 overnight, while over three million Covid tests have been conducted till date.

Of the 376 fresh infections, 206 were detected in Karachi, he added.

As many as 6,791 persons in the province are currently under treatment for Covid, said the CM. Of these, 6,452 were in home isolation, 12 at isolation centres and 377 were admitted at different hospitals. The condition of 310 patients was said to be critical, including 37 shifted on ventilators.

Citizens were urged to follow pandemic-mandated standard operating procedures (SOPs).
