Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Monday and discussed with him South Punjab and various other related issues.
The chief minister shared with the foreign minister matters related to the South Punjab Civil Secretariat as well as the steps taken in this regard.
Buzdar claimed that South Punjab would witness record development during the tenure of the PTI-led government.
He said that the share of South Punjab in schools' upgradation would be 38 per cent. The CM added that people of the region supported the PTI-led government. “The defeated elements are spreading propaganda against the government like scrapping of the South Punjab secretariat.”

The CM announced that he would visit Multan every month to review progress on the development works and to deal with other issues firsthand. “The cabinet meeting will also be held in Multan and provincial ministers will also remain available in South Punjab for two days.”
The foreign minister said that immediate action by the chief minister over the issue of South Punjab secretariat was commendable, as it eliminated propaganda against the government.
