Police arrest one more suspect in SHO murder case

Sumandri Police claim Abdul Razzaq has also admitted to the killing.

FAISALABAD: Police arrested a suspect from Faisalabad  on Thursday suspected of killing an SHO and two constables in Quetta.

Police say the accused, Abdul Razzaq had planned to kill the SHO of Sariab Road with the help of her wife and son.

According to reports, they had drugged the SHO and the two constables accompanying him. Police suspect that the accused had planned to dump the bodies and the vehicle in a canal but the vehicle ran out of fuel because of which they had to change the plan.

They reportedly shot dead the already drugged SHO and the two constables before setting their vehicle on fire.

Sumandri Police claim Abdul Razzaq has also admitted to the killing.

Earlier, Faisalabad police had registered an FIR on Monday against the murder of former SHO Abdul Razzaq Gujjar, who was shot and then burnt along with his vehicle on Sunday in the Satiana area of Faisalabad.

The Saddar police had also lodged a case against three people, including the Gujjar’s wife and a son, who are in police custody and have reportedly confessed to the crime.

According to the FIR, the victim’s wife killed him with the help of her paramour and one of her sons.

The accused allegedly amputated the deceased inspector’s limbs, which were recovered on Monday from his house.

Gujjar’s other son is also under investigation, while his wife’s paramour went into hiding.
