Minor among four killed in road crashes

7-year-old died after tractor-trolley hit him outside his house

At least four people, including a minor, were killed in road accidents in the district on Monday.

Police said seven-year-old Muhammad Makhdoom fell under a tractor while playing outside his house and was critically injured. He was rushed to Allied Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

Separately, Asif Afzal, 42, resident of Kot Abdul Malik near Sheikhupura Road Shell Pump fell of the motorcycle due to high speed. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In another incident, Riaz, 49, a resident of Vehari, died after being seriously injured in a collision with an unidentified vehicle near Satiana Road, Muhammadpura. On Jhal Pul Samundari Road, a 50-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with an unknown vehicle and was shifted to Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Recently, on Sunday, Five persons were killed while 12 others sustained injuries after a passenger bus collided with a truck on GT Road near Sadhoki in Sheikhupura on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 and Edhi ambulances rushed to the spot and started relief operation.

All the injured were shifted to Muridke THQ hospital. Police said the Sialkot-bound bus was coming from Sadiqabad when it hit a truck at high speed.

Five persons including two children, a woman and two men died on the spot.

On 6 February, 2021, At least six members of a family were killed in a tragic road accident on Mohsinwal Jandiali Road in the suburbs of Mian Channu when a speeding car lost control and rammed into a tree.
