Google opens enrollment for career certification courses

You don’t need any prior knowledge or experience in these fields to sign up for the courses

Google has opened enrollment for its Career Certificates program in the fields of Data Analytics, Project Management, and User Experience (UX) Design, the company announced on its blog.

You can also enroll in the new Associate Android Developer Certification, a course that will prepare inexperienced learners for entry-level jobs in the field of Android development.

The best part is that you don’t need any prior knowledge or experience in these fields to sign up for the courses.

The certification course is completely online, so whether you are a working professional or a student you can easily complete the course. Learners will have access to instructional videos, readings, and assignments via the web or your mobile device.

There are free resources available to help you in the certification program such as interview tips, resume building workshops, career coaching, and much more.

According to Google search for “great jobs without a degree” spiked around 850% in the US. However, if you search now for the same query, the search engine will show you a variety of job opportunities near you.

The certification program has been a huge success in providing job opportunities to underrepresented people in tech, more than 130 employers have joined the company’s employer consortium. Further, 82% of graduates found that the program helped them in getting a raise, and finding a new job.

The certificates cost $39 per month by subscription on Coursera, while the Google Associate Android Developer Certification training is free with an official exam fee of $149, the course is hosted on the Android Developers website.

You can also apply for financial assistance on the Coursera website. Recipients of financial aid will have full access to course content and assignments that are required to earn a certificate.

The search engine giant is also sponsoring 100,000 scholarships for Career Certificates in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
