Renowned Pakistani model Nadia Hussain has shunned rumours of undergoing any sort of plastic surgery or surgical treatment. However, the model-cum-actor clarified that there is no harm in getting one if need be.

“Those who are interested in getting a plastic surgery done and have the financial means should go for it,” Hussain told Urdu News. She went on to confess, “If I ever feel like I need plastic surgery, I will surely get it done. But people must understand the difference between plastic surgery and botox treatments. I have received and provided non-surgical treatments, but never a surgical one.”

Regarding the conundrum of modelling in Pakistan and the notoriety attached to it, Hussain urged parents to let their children do what they want instead of forcing career options down their throats. “If you think modelling is an easy task, it is not. It requires a lot of patience,” she said, debunking myths attached to her occupation.

“I think acting and modeling are both quite difficult.” Hussain, who has spent 20 years in the fashion industry, relayed that she is quite satisfied with everything she has achieved to date. But the Jalan star also shared that young models are not quite happy with her evergreen presence. “I always get a lot of love from my fans. But I have also heard juniors complain that senior models like me need to give up,” she noted.

In response to such grievances, Hussain explained that models like her do not intend on hogging the ramp or the shows they are invited to. She said, “Like other models, we are only are hired by the organizers, who agree that it is only fair to pay us more, provided our experience.”

Speaking bout Pakistan’s contemporary fashion scene, Hussain admitted that there was a lack of creativity, despite there being annual fashion weeks and seasonal showcases. “Things are still improving. But there needs to be more fashion shows for the students, the aspiring designers and models of our country. There is a lot of creativity in them that needs to be explored,” she concluded.
