Multan Deputy Commissioner Amir Khatak suspended a notification on Monday about the housing department wherein a low-income housing colony, New Multan, was declared commercial, bringing relief to hundreds of residents of the scheme.
The DC ordered the director Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (Phata) to give personal hearing opportunity to each of the residents and decide cases meeting all requirements of justice.

He presided over an open court at Bagh Laangay Khan tehsil office where an 80-year-old woman Mukhtar Begum’s decades old problem of transfer of her husband’s property in her name was resolved.
Zulfiqar Ali of Mauza Bhikal Bhid saw his agriculture land become part of computerised database, for which he had been visiting the offices concerned for many days.
