FM urges Egyptian companies to take advantage of ample investment opportunities in Pakistan

Qureshi ensures every possible cooperation and facilitation in their profit-oriented business

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi urged Egyptian companies to take advantage of the ample investment opportunities in various sectors across Pakistan, which include construction, energy and healthcare.

The foreign minister’s advice came while he was talking to a delegation of Egyptian businessmen and entrepreneurs, who called on him in Cairo.

The FM is on a two-day official visit to Egypt on the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Hassan Shoukry.

During the meeting, the foreign minister assured the Egyptian investors and businessmen of every possible cooperation and facilitation in their profit-oriented business and investment activities in Pakistan by the federal government.

“Pakistan’s improved rating in terms of ease of doing business at international level depicts full confidence of the international community in the policies of the present government,” FM Qureshi said.

“The existing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Egypt can be translated into strong bilateral trade and economic ties by exploring the true investment potential.”

Members of the Egyptian delegation expressed their interest in investment in Pakistan’s healthcare, energy and construction sectors.

President and CEO of renowned Elsewedy Electric, Ahmed Elsewedy, also called on FM Qureshi in Cairo and expressed the company’s interest in investment in Pakistan.

“Pakistan is an emerging market and business companies from around the world are showing interest in investment in Pakistan due to prudent economic policies of the government,” the foreign minister said while talking to Elsewedy.
