RAWAT:

The Rawat police arrested suspects over aerial firing at a private housing society but released them later as they had a car with an official number plate, locals alleged on Sunday.

Residents of a private housing society, Muhammad Yaseen, Muhammad Saddam, Muhammad Zahid, Asad Rehman and others alleged that the suspects in a car with an official number plate started aerial firing in the neighbourhood.

Hearing the sound of gunfire, the security guards along with the residents, reached the spot while the alleged individuals identified themselves as police officers.

Rawat police took the four suspects to the station along with their vehicle, however, the police later released them with their weapons late at night without taking any action against the accused.
