‘Digitalised system to curb profiteering’
Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that a modern, digitalised system was being introduced to monitor supply and demand of essential items in the province and to check profiteering and hoarding.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, she added that the government considers inflation as an important issue.
“In order to resolve the issue of rising prices, the government is bringing an alternative system of market committees.”
The SACM claimed, “The old system used to benefit only a few persons. A handful of people have not only exploited the farmers but also harmed the masses.
Therefore, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government is introducing an alternative system of market committees which will help control price-hike and inflation.”
She further said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was working for the development of backward districts, adding that the development projects were being completed keeping in view the needs of the backward areas of South Punjab.
