A 13-year-old student died after his foot slipped while trying to board a bus in Manga Mandi area on Tuesday.
Rescue sources said the victim, identified as Ahmad Raza, was a student of Government Secondary School.
Eye witnesses said on the day of the incident, the teenager was on way to his school and wanted to board a local passenger bus. The vehicle was already crowded and while he tried to make space for himself in it he tripped ended up in front of the tyres.
As a result, the young boy received fatal injuries and passed away on the spot.
Police took the body of the deceased into their custody.
Passersby lamented the authorities on allowing crowded buses to ply the road while undermining health and safety of passengers.
