Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab announced on Friday the renovation of Lyari's famous Kakri Ground under the Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement Project.

Speaking to the media at the inauguration of Shah Rasool Terrace Garden in Old Clifton, Wahab said linked the revamp of the "historic" ground to the Pakistan Peoples Party's "continuous initiatives directed towards people's welfare."

Shah Rasool Terrace Garden With respect to Shah Rasool Terrace Garden, Wahab noted that the facility had Old Cliton on one side and Shah Rasool Colony on the other.

"And who would have imagined having such a park in a low-income locality in the past," commented Wahab, adding that while the park had been there for ages, its doors remained closed for the public.

He maintained that the facility was opened for the residents of the low-income area it was located in only after the Pakistan Peoples Party formed the government in Sindh after the 2018 elections.

"Its renovation, carried out by the South District Municipal Corporation, is an achievement of the Sindh government," he said.

Wahab appealed to people to work for the upkeep of the park.
