In Rawalpindi, poets pay tribute to Kashmir’s untiring struggle

Renowned poets Dr Khalid Iqbal Yasir, Naseem-e-Sahar and Qayyum Tahir were the guests of honour

Senior poets of the region at a poetry recital paid rich tribute to the people of Kashmir for their untiring struggle for the right of self-determination on Tuesday.

The poetry recital was arranged by the Halqa-e-Ilam-o-Adab and the Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5. It was presided over by Dr Farhat Abbas.

Renowned poets Dr Khalid Iqbal Yasir, Naseem-e-Sahar and Qayyum Tahir were the guests of honour.

Punjab Council of the Arts director Waqar Ahmed thanked the guests and said it was an appreciable step to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
