Academic calendar for federal institutes released

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has released the academic calendar for the upcoming session for the federal government educational institutes, a notification issued by the department stated on Friday.

As per the directives, the new academic year will begin from August 2 while summer vacations will be reduced to a month in July. It should be mentioned here that Eidul Azha holidays will fall in this time period as well.

The statement further mentioned that the final examinations for grades five and eight will be held from May 18 to May 31, while inhouse examinations will be conducted for grades one to four from June 1 till June 15. The results for grades five and eight will be announced on June 30 and on July 1 for the primary grades.

It added that the given dates are subject to revision in compliance with the decisions of the federal government. However, a cushion of a few days owing to any unavoidable circumstances will be taken into account, the notification shared.
