PMC, IRNUM join hands for cancer research

PESHAWAR:

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Peshawar Medical College (PMC) and Institute of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine (IRNUM) for academic cooperation in research on cancer and other health issues, a spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday.

The ceremony was held at PMC where Dean Dr Hafeez ur Rahman and IRNUM director Dr Akif Khan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.

The MoU is aimed at promoting mutual cooperation in academic biomedical training and research and development related activities in every relevant discipline, especially imparting training to the trainees of Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) and Member of College of Physicians and Surgeons (MCPS) radiology.

As per the agreement, the duration of the clinical training programme for students will be according to the prescribed curriculum, syllabus and credit hours approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) or their respective university.
