Hadiyya Aazer is a publicist, marketer and an influencer and her husband Aazer is serving as head of marketing at Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore. Being poles apart professionally and personally they bring the perfect balance and harmony to one another’s life. Hadiyya and Aazer share with us their story of love and friendship.
How and where did you both first meet?
Hadiyya: We got in touch through a common friend, the next day I went to Aazer’s office, picked him up and went for coffee and the rest is history.
What did you like/ dislike about each other in your first meeting?
Hadiyya: There was nothing to dislike but we got along really well and became friends in no time. Aazer noticed my hands so closely, he adored and admired my hands in the first meeting.
How long did it take to decide that he/she was the one you wanted to marry?
Hadiyya: Within a month I had met Aazer’s mother and he met my father and it was pretty much decided that we wanted to get married.
How do you demonstrate your love in different ways?
Hadiyya and Aazer: We do little things to surprise each other; be it cooking something for him, or Aazer making tea for me. It’s the simple things that we find pleasure in.
What frustrates you most about your partner?
Aazer: One thing that frustrates me about Hadiyya is her being always on her phone but I do understand that it is also the nature of her job. But ideally I would love for her to be more involved in conversation with me rather than her clients all the time.
Who makes up first if you have a fight or argument?
Aazer: It’s always Hadiyya who makes up first after a fight. I don’t like saying sorry so that is how it works out.
One thing you love about each other?
Hadiyya and Aazer: There is no “one thing”, we love everything about each other whole heartedly. And we pray it always stays like this.
Something you would want to change about your partner?
Hadiyya: Aazer finds me perfect the way I am and doesn’t want to change anything, I on the other hand would like him to be a bit more social.
Something you two have in common?
Hadiyya and Aazer: We both like to spend together our common friends. That is also how we unwind.
Who keeps the room the tidiest?
Hadiyya and Aazer: We both have obsessive compulsive disorder i.e. OCD therefore our room/house is never a mess.
Your best memory together so far?
Hadiyya and Aazer: The day Shahzain, our son came into this world. He completes us.
Your greatest strength as a couple?
Hadiyya and Aazer: We have stuck together through thick and thin and have always supported each other in every situation. We both have got each other’s back.
