CDA approves 41 building plans in 20 days

Authority collects over Rs80m in tax revenue

ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) approved building plans of 41 commercial and residential structures out of a total of 121 buildings during the past 20 days, a spokesperson shared on Thursday.

The authority also issued completion certificates to 10 out of 87 buildings while collecting tax over Rs80 million in this regard, he added.

The official informed that the Building Control department of CDA received 121 plans for approval from January 1 to January 20 out of which, 107 were residential plans. He mentioned that 35 plans have been approved and there are objections to 33 plans while 29 plans are delayed.

He further stated that six out of 14 commercial building plans were approved and there are objections over one plan while seven plans are in the final stages of their completion. The approval of the said building plans were delayed due to none payment of security fee, no clearance from state and building violations, he added.

CDA, FGEHA barred from allotting plots

He said that the CDA received applications for completion certificates of 76 residential buildings during last 20 days while 10 of them were given the certificates. However, there are objections on 18 of them and 48 are still in their final stages of completion.

Meanwhile, the authority received applications for the completion certificates of 11 commercial building plans while there is objection over one of them and work is underway for the approval of other 10, the official stated.

Building Control Section (BCS) 1 issued notices to 25 buildings, BCS 02 to 18, and BCS 03 to 31 buildings, he shared, adding that showcase notices have been issued to the owners of two buildings while three buildings have been sealed.
