GT Road collision leaves four dead, six injured

Eye witnesses say the tyre of speeding car exploded, driver lost control

RAWALPINDI:

A collision of three vehicles on Grand Trunk (GT) Road near Rawat Chowk on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of four passengers, including two children, and severe injuries to six people.

As per witnesses, the tyre of a speeding car exploded, owing to which the driver lost control and rammed into two other vehicles next to his car. Some 10 people were injured in the accident, however, four of them succumbed to injuries right after reaching the hospital.

Meanwhile, all six injured, including the two children, are under treatment, Sihala police officials informed, adding that all three vehicles are impounded.
