Traders support opposition’s rally

All business organisations of the city and Cantt have agreed to fully participate in the PDM’s protest

Pakistani Muslim League (N) has garnered the support of different traders’ bodies of the garrison city for participating in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday (today).

All business organisations of the city and Cantt have agreed to fully participate in the PDM’s protest as the local leaders of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) have pacified them.

Punjab Markazi Anjuman Tajiran President Shahid Ghafoor Paracha confirmed the participation of the business community in the opposition’s protests.

He said that the policies of the current government had badly affected the traders.

He added that due to the government policies, the country’s economic outlook manifested a poor outlook. Hence, the traders will voice their concerns through the protest. Meanwhile, the lawmakers and top traders of the garrison city have arranged breakfast for over 2,000 people taking part in the PDM rally. Caterers have been booked to keep halwa puti, naan cholay and paratha rolling for the activists.
