With lockdown all over the world, you might be wondering if fashion is really relevant these days? Well, it’s time to put those thoughts aside and sit bejeweled at home, if that’s what it takes to make yourself feel better in quarantine.

Designers around the globe have taken spring/summer 2021 by swing with their colourful and statement-worthy adornments. They have proved the immense love for jewellery as they hold the ability to lift your mood. You could simply wear these pieces in lockdown and voila! You’re now serving some high fashion at home.

 

While there are plenty of options out there, this season has seen multiple trends take the cake, such as the iconic miniature cuffs from Celine, Louis Vuitton and Chloe. You could simply flaunt neon statements to pearl and chunky chain jewellery, it’s all about the bling! As compiled from British Vogue, here are some jewellery trends to look forward in 2021.

Neon reverie

A vibrant addition of intense hues is what we need to brighten our days after a distressed and colorless year. According to the display, big names like Versace, Chanel have come forward with neon jewellery, Chanel in specific leading with classic ladylike pearls and splashes of neon tones. Other designers such as Azagury Partridge and Bea Bongiasca were seen opting for fluorescent trend this year.

On the cuff

The joy of a cuff is that you can enjoy gazing at it as you tap away at that keyboard. At Chloé, sculptural cuffs in mixed materials were worn on the wrist, forearm and upper arm. For the latter, see too Celine (which comprised hair scrunchies) and Sportmax. Halo effect

Statement earrings have been trending for years and they continue to do so this year as well, despite the comfy, work-from-home styles. Statement jewellery attracts heads and gives you the ability to express your style and brings out the confidence. This season, Osman Yousefzada made the news with his traditional jewellery that as desi we are fond of. He displayed a traditional naulakha necklace, choker necklace and large earrings.
