The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) is facing a financial crunch as its only source of income, advertisement rights, have been challenged in the court.
PHA is facing loss of around Rs155 million. Owing to this, development schemes worth Rs36 million are facing a delay as well.
Notably, after it gained the status of authority from the agency, the Punjab government had termed revenue generation from advertisements as the main source of its income.
However, the matter was challenged in court and now, other departments are receiving charges generated from the advertisement.
