Shootout: 1 killed, 1 injured over land

CHISHTIAN: A man was shot and killed and another was severely injured over a land dispute near Chishtian on Sunday. According to police officials, Imran, Babar, Umaar, Usman and their two accomplices opened fire at Zulfiqar and Azhar over a longstanding dispute between the two families over some property. As a result, Zulfiqar died on the spot, while Azhar was severely injured with two separate bullet wounds. Azhar was sent to the hospital for treatment and hospital officials said he would make a full recovery. Police officials have registered a case against the six accused and are investigating.
