ISLAMABAD:

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said on Tuesday people who were speaking against the armed forces would be dealt as per the law, and announced that case against Mufti Kifayatullah in Lahore for his anti-military remarks.

Talking to reporters here, he said the announcement of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to tender resignation of its members of parliament was in doldrums and added that the opposition alliance faced disintegration.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan played well this year and the new year will bring more popularity to him,” the minister said. “The PDM is facing disintegration and ultimately its leaders will ahead homes.”

He said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would have to go for elections after the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) decision to take part in Senate elections, he said. He added that PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari played a sharp move for his personal interests. Today [Tuesday] is a day of mourning for Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
