Anti-polio drive to start on Jan 11

The health department will launch a three-day anti-polio campaign in the district from January 11.

This was announced by Health Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Rai Samiullah while talking to APP on Sunday.

He said that 1,397,532 children would be administered polio vaccine drops in the district, adding that 1,420 mobile and 81 transit teams would perform duties along with 198 deployed at fixed spots.

He further said a total of 3,694 staffers would participate in the drive, adding that teams would also visit bus stands and railway stations to make the drive a success.
