PNCA holds talent hunt

To discover singers and musicians, auditions under a ‘talent hunt’ programme at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) are continuing.

Daily, hundreds of aspirants are turning up to perform before the supervision of different maestros, professionals and master artisans at the audition.

"The auditions are now in full swing with new students coming to register themselves every day," an official said.

He said that the programme was an effort to promote music along with polishing the creative skills of the young blood.

He said that aspirants are taking a keen interest in different forms of singing including classical, Sufi and Jazz.

Anyone can participate in the programme, the official said, adding that competition for playing instruments will also be held for both boys and girls. They can showcase their skills in playing the flute, tabla, guitar, violin, keyboard and harmonium.
